First post op appointment was today (post op day 11).
We arrive at Moffitt Cancer Center and are greeted by my Cancer Buddy, Steve Jordan and his beautiful wife Cheryl! What a treat to see familiar faces. So thankful for their friendship. 😊
Blood work goes quick and then on to see Dr Anaya! Such great news! Everything went better than planned! Currently my liver is Cancer Free! They (Dr Anaya, Amir PA, and Diana RN) all said I did not look like someone who has had surgery! My usually reply, “I don’t know what I am supposed to look like” lol Some detailed conversation and review of where I started versus where I am today. All great news and great margins! My staples are removed and traded for steri strips and off we go!
March 7th I will have CT scans and appointments with both colon surgeon, Dr. Felder and urology (primary tumor possibly up against my left ureter). If there are no new surprises, I should get my primary tumor/colon surgery scheduled!!! I’m claiming this as my final step!!!!Whoo hoo!
So for now, I will be resting, walking, healing, and getting super healthy for this next step!!!
