Today is special! Chemo #10 (again without Oxilaplatin in hopes to minimize the neuropathy I’m experiencing/hopefully not losing an important part of the cocktail). It means I can now finally have a new set of CT scans in hopes of being a surgical candidate!(Of course I hope and pray the cancer is all gone! Wouldn’t that be amazing!?!) I’m excited and nervous.
My mom was once again a big support. She showed up at 8:00 to drive me, stayed throughout, and was my chariot home. No idea how bored she must have been while I was sleeping this time. The IV Ativan provided a great nap to this girl who is historically not a napper, even now.
Sunday, Andy and I will head to Tampa to be ready for my full day of appointments on Monday. Due to Covid precautions at Moffitt Cancer Center, I can only have one person with me. Others wish to come also. I’m a lucky girl. Even luckier, childhood friend, Noel Poncy McDonnell, continues to generously open her home for us when we are going to Moffitt. We appreciate it.
We appreciate every kindness and each and every prayer. Pray for me that this will be an amazing scan! Pray for me to be healed!!
Need more details, please read previous blog posts. I try to be pretty open. After that and still need more, then message me. I am an open book. And for goodness sake GET YOUR COLONOSCOPY. Nothing gives me more peace than hearing each of your stories and the happiness it gives me that your polyps are cut out!! Don’t become me!
